David Reed Biography

I am primarily a photojournalist. For many years I was under an exclusive contract with The Sunday Times Magazine. I have also worked for many prestigious corporate clients and charities.

The Sunday Times Magazine first commissioned me in 1969 and I worked for them continuously until 1990. My photographs illustrated many major stories, features and portrait profiles.

I was a regular contributor both to Nova Magazine, until its demise in 1975 and The Radio Times. I have had my work published in The Observer Magazine and The Telegraph Magazine.

The National Portrait Gallery, London, has several of my portraits in their collection.

I was commissioned to photograph projects in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana for books published by The International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Corporate clients include Swiss Re, GlaxoSmithKline, Eagle Star Insurance, Cable & Wireless, The Falkland Islands Development Corporation, AMP Australia and 3i.

Today I contribute to several of the worlds leading stock photo agencies and am still commissioned by charity organisations. I have even been talked into covering the odd wedding.
